Tribute to a Beautiful Young Woman of God!!!
Today, Isabelle is at EFY, a retreat for young men and young women for our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
What is fun about EFY per Isabelle Marie Beach:
1. I love the classes we were able to go to.
2. The dances where we hold cute boy's hands.
3. My favorite class was the class about our prophet, Joseph Smith.
4. I learned that I want to make scripture study more meaningful praying and taking it serious.
5. I want to go again next year, it was so much fun!!!

Tribute to a beautiful girl who is turning fifteen this summer....
Dear Sweet Isabelle,
I wanted to reflect on some of the wonderful moments of the last fifteen years! I can't believe how fast time has gone by!! I have always told people that, "Isabelle makes life easy!" The reason is that you are so responsible, hard working, compassionate, helpful, earnest and a straight A student. I am so grateful to be your Mommy!!!
Here are some fun stories about Isabelle Marie Beach:
When Isabelle was a little girl, she was always very particular. She liked to go to bed at 8 p.m. on the dot (still to this day she goes to bed at 8:30 p.m. on the dot). She was very much interested in cleaning!! I remember one particular day, she helped me sweep the kitchen floor as a two year old. When I was finished sharing the broom with her, I put it away in a different hall closet. She broken down in tears telling me, "no, no, no, no, you put it in the wrong spot." She would also go to the store, her preference being Target, and rearrange items on the shelves into perfect lines, making them more orderly than they had been left, even by the Target staff themselves!! This is how particular Isabelle Marie Beach is!!!:)
As a single mother of four children, I felt quite overwhelmed, at first with my own orderly character traits of : despising messes, hating disorder, wanting structure and craving cleanliness. I wanted so much to do what I always had, being a stay at home mother for 13 years already. I chose to try to stay home, by going to school. It allowed me to create a schedule around my own kids schedule and then in moments when I needed help, friends from church would pitch in or my family nearby, especially during finals. What I learned the most, having to SIMPLIFY my life, was that I was also like Isabelle. I hated it if the broom wasn't put in the right closet, if the socks were not matched correctly for each child during laundry and if I couldn't get dinner done on time at 5 p.m. During this time it was Isabelle who was willing to pitch in even more, help clean, not complain about helping her sisters clean their room and many other orderly/cleanly gestures were offered over and over and over again! She even taught our Family Lesson Nights on family nights (something our church recommends once a week, it involves a game and a scripture story for us). She also helped read scriptures and have prayer time at night, something we have never given up on to this day in hopes that the old adage, "A family that prays together stays together." I count this as insurance in a very ever changing world that is full of instant gratification and family less togetherness charms.
What I love about Isabelle the most is that she is a classy and classic girl!! She rarely has watched television in her life. She has never been interested in video games or playing on an I-phone (overly). She is extremely talented and chooses wonderful talents to spend her time on. She has an electric guitar and acustic guitar that she loves to sing with. She also plays the ukelele and piano!! She is a wonderful artist and spends a lot of time designing patterns and also drawing people. She has a passion for photography (samples included). Isabelle Marie Beach is the Mia Maids President at church. She also loves to read, ride her bike, and hang out with her friends at the lake (down the street) or at Dairy Queen where the local teenagers meet on Friday nights. She is a wonderful girl full of ambitions and is very self motivated to choose healthy alternatives to daily options in a teenager's life. As proof to this day, she has not had one ounce of soda pop!! She says, "It isn't healthy Mom!! Yuck!!."
I am so thankful to have a wonderful daughter like Isabelle!! She is so full of love and care! This year for one of her "church" projects for Mia Maids at church she went to Feed My Starving Children and helped package 4,000 meals for the homeless. She was also involved in creating a special "Mother's Day," treatment at church for all of the Mom's. She helped organize special treats for the Mother's that would come to church that day and then helped teach Sunday school so that all the Mom's that taught would have a break and be able to have a small banquet of some of the specially prepared treats for each Mom that was present. She is always thinking of others. Another sweet highlight this year was when I came up with the idea of purchasing a room divider for her room. She was sharing her room at the time with Catherine and Abigail! Her response was, "I don't need that Mama, I love my sisters so much. I don't mind sharing." Consequently, a few months later, she was able to get her own room with her grandmother Jackie's help, downstairs!! She was so happy, however the important part of the story is that she never even asked. I am so greatful for my daughter Isabelle!! I know that you have so many talents and such a big heart!! You will go so far in this world and in your own development with all that you have!!! I love you Isabelle Marie Beach!!! Happy 15th Birthday coming up!!! XOXOXO

Isabelle also requested an American Sign Language book this year, in which she taught herself how to sign.
