Special Interests:

Abigail was so brave this year to finish ballet in an auditorium full of parents, students and friends. She was reluctant to get on stage after many months of practice, but last minute she appeared and did a fantastic chasse'!

Abigail loves to be creative!! This often involves a notebook for doodling and drawing and writing things. She has one at her desk at school for times when her "feelings are a mystery". When she solves the mystery, privately, she is ALWAYS happy. When she can't write things she is mischievous, so she packs a journal with her wherever she goes. Here is a story by Abigail from one of her doodling pads:

Always Sprinkle Pepper in Your Hair

Always Sprinkle Pepper in your hair
because if you get caught by a hungry witch,
she will sniff you and say, "My my, you are too spicy."

The moral of the story seems to be to avoid sugar and salt (Abigail loves both of these, not pepper) or stay away from witches.

Dear Abigail,

What I love most about you is that you are so warm and loving. Today I asked Katie to make sure she is a good example to you because she is your older sister and you said, "I am the one that always takes care of Katie and makes sure she is okay." I see you do that so often when you share or give toys away or remind Katie to go do something. You are always aware of what is going on in the background even though you are her total accomplice, both night and day. I love that you still walk around the house with a teddy bear or stuffed animal and that each one has a special name. You certainly are rodent friendly and I admire the patience that it took to teach Sugar Cube, the pet mouse you begged me for this summer, to turn around in circles for oatmeal. You make me laugh, you are sweet and cuddly, you read so very well and you play all day long without making a peep (aside from the trail of messes you leave behind you, occasionally). I love you Abigail. I loved being your primary teacher all year long at church, we had so much fun! I can't wait to see what this year brings, especially your baptism. It's Great to be Eight!!
                                                                                                                            Love, Mommy
