Gratitude

Hudson, Wisconsin. The kids and I went out for Dairy Queen and Fall leaves on the St. Croix. It was really super fun.

I feel like I am so blessed to have these kids in my life. I don't know if it is just the Thanksgiving feeling of all the leaves falling that contributes to this gratitude or just my awesome kids, but I can't help myself saying, I am truly blessed!

A few reasons why...

1. I love that we are all connected for good or bad and that we all know each other really well.
2. I love that families are a work in progress and that we are always trying to succeed in creating a strong environment and also fun activities. It is actually very rewarding to think about what you can do better on a constant basis and try to make that happen, despite your own failures.
3. I love that my kids are exceptionally cute. The girls still let me do their hair everyday, including Isabelle. I love that. I like girls and dresses and bows. Go figure, I am girly.
4. I love that my son had to tell me not to have our bonfire under our wooden canopy this week while we roasted s'mores. I insisted that it was perfectly fine about an hour into our maintenance crew was sent over to let us know the neighbors were sure we had just presented the world's biggest fire hazard. Again, I blame the girl in me. I am not sure how to do a lot of these outdoor jobs and yet I really try my hardest. I should have listened to my son!
5. I love thinking of winter coming and how it is going to make it even harder for the kids to play outside and how that means we might snuggle up on the sofa together and read books. And how I just know I will still get all four of them to do it, just because the love me. I am lucky, what can I say?
The end. I am grateful, grateful and more grateful. Happy Fall!
