And yet another blurb on my wonderful son, whom I love, most sincerely. I love you Christian. I get to brag about you on here and so I will.

I am glad that you have awesome friends (see above). Christian is not the kind of guy who wants to follow others. It's quite the opposite you see, maybe to the extreme. I have never seen Christian any other way, this includes moments in sacrament where his pant leg is tucked into a mismatched sock and he looks down and could care less.:) I love that you are your own self and that you pick other friends that have a knack for feeling the same way. Despite the many comedies around our house these days that involve your very own lexicon, involving endings of words that are taken out, beginnings of words that are taken out and grunting like a wild ape at me when I ask you to take out the trash; yes, despite it, I still love you. I really do. I always wanted a teenager when everyone said they didn't. I just knew it would be fun and that we would be friends. And you proved me right. Teenagers are the best, thank you for not letting me down, at least not yet.:)

I know no one on here will understand why you say "sneed-yodel" and "grabs-became", but I just wanted to document it for your own understanding. Quite simply, it is that you are a nerd. You just don't see it yet. Please don't look at me when you question it. It is not my fault and it is genetic. I know it is as almost as if you rule the corner of your own Earth right now, with all your freedom and what not. Nerd could be farther from your current ideal self. Just today you told me how awesome it was to have so many freedoms and how cool your life was now that you are fourteen. The mere fact that you have your very own wallet with an atm card inside denotes the coolness and sophistication of your style these days. Not to mention, as you mentioned this afternoon again, you have your own job on a farm (you only worked one day this summer, but who is counting) and to top it all off you are now able to ride your bike to your friends house (alone, on a five mile trip) and to Panda Express where the two of you sit and have a rather sophisticated, "I am a grown up" kind of lunch. Oh, and I left out one of the most important bragging rights Christian has these days, he built his own computer. If you need help, he's got it. He spends countless hours reading C++ books from the library in his free-time so he can start his own business someday and actually uses computer time to take classes he found for free online. Yes, it really is true, my son is a genius. This time do not look at me, for sure. Despite the fact that I am calling you a nerd, you are actually pretty cool. Nerdy on the inside and, well as you read above, quite the sophisticated young lad all in all.

I am glad you are coming up with your own vocabulary these days and that you might possibly look back and wonder what the other kids thought of you when you and your friends convinced yourselves that the words might actually catch on around school. Please let me know when they reach Merrian-Websters, it would be really fascinating. I can promise you one thing, you simply do not care what they think. I guess that is the point, you are you and I love your you. It is your best quality.

Happy "sneed-yodel" day to you. May your days be filled with "sneed-yodel" and your future at the highest "sneed-yodel". May the world rest in it's slumber with "sneed-yodel", as if any other word could fit as many contexts, at once, as your current new word does now. Please fill me in, as you happen to do so well, on the rest of them and what they truly mean. Unless of course you want to go back to "honey", which was your two year old adaptation to not only yes, but anything that insisted on being a positive conjecture in your world way back then. I think it is interesting that you have hardly changed in so many ways. I love you, Christian. Happy "sneed-yodel" or in other words, fourteenth birthday!! Love, Mom (also a nerd at best).
