Catherine is so sweet. She has, since she was a baby, been able to keep herself happy for hours upon end by simply creating. She has taught herself to crochet, paint with acrylics, make pinch pots from clay and make crafty creations from various sources. Katie is my child that is seldom bored because of this great quality of hers. She is also quite convinced she is going to be a "famous artist" when she grows up. I wouldn't be surprised because she is actually pretty awesome. This month she was selected for the school art show. We also decided to do some other art things together. For her Mommy and me night out we went to an art class together. Everyone loved her there and she was patient for the whole session, asking questions and trying to get her painting just right. She is so cute! We also went to the art museum. She found some Van Gogh pictures and was excited since they have been learning about his art work at school. Such a fun month of art right before spring came!! I'm so grateful my kids have different hobbies and talents that they get to work on and become better at. It makes being a mom fun because you get to see them each choose what they like best. It looks like Katie is sticking with being our resident artist and I am glad we have her expertise, along with the other kids as well, to fill up my walls with cute handmade pictures.
